Sorrentino's

Picture taken by Jessica Som
Hello everyone! I took this picture at night freezing to death! This past Sunday (12/21/14) is the first official day of winter and the winter solstice. It was cool EXCEPT I was stuck wrapping gifts like a madman. I feel bad for Santa's elves. Share the cookies Santa.

That aside, here is the next spot light location. This place may be small and blend's in with it's surrounding, but what lies inside is something else. When I first read the name when they first started out-I loved it because I never heard of a fun name before. Where does it come from? Well, it's a family name for starters. If I remember correctly, the family named it after their grandfather.

This is the man of the hour every hour and the person who cooks your food. His name is John. HI JOHN-LOOK AT YOUR PICTURE! Does anyone love his shirt because I do. I would wear that. I mean it makes sense anyway. John here works here everyday. He makes all kinds of desserts. I like his fresh cookies-it is warm and chewy. There is normally snacks like chips and soda there along with a few shelves of box and can goods. It reminds me of a little grocery store with a shop. There is plenty of room to walk around in and the color scheme of the place is quite home like. They open from 8:00 o'clock in the morning to 6:00 o'clock at night. The sell breakfast, lunch, and things I would consider as dinner. They have all kinds of subs and sandwiches as well as platters. During holidays one can sign up for special event platters and desserts. The fun part is that there is raffles to go along. Plus there are seats to eat at if one wishes to. Their subs are huge and I tend to share mine- perfect servings for around 5$ along with other hot Italian food items.

To me, my favorite part of going there would have to be the stories. When I walk in to chat around or get something new, I would hear customers talk about the news or tell stories of the olden days. Through these many people I have learned more history of other countries and East Boston. People of different backgrounds will be happy to share their story if you ask them to. Also Thank you everyone who were willing to let me take a picture of them. On another note, around areas like the one in the picture-there will be art work. It is really cute in my opinion. Food wise- all food is equally as good, so it is a balance place. Man, it would be tough picking a favorite. Although I like sweets. Winner -sweets. Well, thank you all for reading and I wish you a HAPPY HOLIDAYS.
